| About Us: We are a 501(c)3 public charity that assists families that were once homeless furnish permanent homes, including anything they
may need. We take donations of all household items from kitchen gadgets
to bathroom rugs, and all furniture items from sofas and chairs to

We began this effort to assist homeless families as a private effort in 2007. Now, as a public charity we hope to divert more waste from landfill disposal and assist many more families. We can’t do this alone, we need your support. Please share this website with others that you know that can lend a helping hand, donate household goods, or make a monetary contribution. Mission Statement: To assist the once homeless in furnishing permanent homes with used household items that have been donated by caring individuals, while ensuring that not one donation is disposed of in a landfill. Our purpose is: · To support and conduct non-partisan research, education, and informational activities to increase public awareness of homelessness, reuse of household goods, and general waste reduction. · To support homeless sh elters in Northern Virginia. · To support waste reduction by promoting the reuse of household items that may be disposed of in landfills. · To assist homeless individuals and families as they transition from homeless shelters to permanent housing by providing used household items. |
